Russ Thompson, Ed.D.

My dream of becoming a writer started at Whitworth University. I was lucky to have a teacher, Dr. Tammy Reid, who believed in me and encouraged me.

After college, I began a career as an educator, teaching reading and English at a middle school in Los Angeles. I went on to earn a doctorate in education from UCLA. I later served as the principal of three high schools.

During my many years of working with young people, I have observed that every student can succeed. If you can dream it, you can achieve it. Set high goals, work hard, and never give up.

Believe in yourself and strive every day to achieve your dreams.
